BEIJING, February 27 (Itar-Tass) - China considers it necessary to resolve Iran’s nuclear problem by peaceful means only, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang has said in his comments on the London six-party meeting that took place on Monday. “China insists on diplomatic ways of settlement of this problem. Sanctions are not that measure that may help resolve this issue,” he said. As for the UN Security Council’s possible adoption of a new resolution, Qin said “any actions of the Security Council should be aimed only at peaceful settlement of Iran’s problem.”
