Dear Ms. Applebaum Having read all the above comments, I've noticed that there is not even one comment by an Iranian sounding name who has expressed any opinion about your Article and so as an Iranian I would like to contribute to this discussion and put in my pennies worth. While I agree with the trust of your arguments I believe that the only way to deal with this mess is to realise that the man running Iran is Khamenei and not Ahmadinejad and he is responsible for all that takes place inside and outside of Iran. What Britain, France and Germany have to do is to stop trading with the Islamic Republic for one year and I`ll bet the whole system will implode from within. There is no need for War. All that the West needs to do is to Just stop selling them refined Petroleum, stop their diplomats flaying in and out of Europe and stop supporting them. We Persians know better than anyone else how to get rid of these Jahadi fascist mullahs. Please Keep quite and let us deal with them in our own way.Posted by Bahramerad on February 15, 2007 9:08 AM
