02.04.07 The best yet! Plastic People roadblock as Ben and Manoo hit the spot London, 14h49, temperature 17°, humidity 37%, sun. There is something in the air because Buzzin' Fly at Plastic People is getting better and better. Last night saw our biggest crowd yet flowing through the doors to sample deckmanship from Lyon's Manoo and head man, Ben Watt. The atmosphere was dark, hot and joyous with a packed dance floor from 8.30 thru till the last tune at 12.30. Manoo crafted a beautifully paced ascent through deep Afro grooves and Detroit, handing over to Ben at 10pm. Highlights included cuts off the new Volume 4 mix CD, 'Just A Blip', 'Magnetic' and 'Lost' plus old favourites like 'Lose Control' and Ben's wonderful blend of Schlomi Aber's 'Tel Aviv Garden' and the Stones' 'Gimme Shelter'!! There is no other place to be. May 6 is next. Bank holiday. No work on Monday. 3am finish. The place will detonate. Be there.
