First Signs of Diabetes

Identifying the first signs of diabetes can help improve your health in later years. There are two common types of diabetes; Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. Diabetes is an insulin related disease affects nearly 21 million people in the United States. Approximately 10-15% of diagnosed cases are the more sever type 1 diabetes also known as ” insulin dependent diabetes”. Most current diagnosed cases area the less sever type 2 diabetes where the body resists insulin production. There are other forms of diabetes such as gestational diabetes which occurs during a women’s pregnancy and is short lived. To date, diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death by disease in the United States. Many of the deaths are related to type 1 diabetes during a Hypoglycemia event.
Signs of Diabetes
Numbness or Tingling in the Extremities i.e. Hand and Feet.
Weakness and Fatigue.
Frequent Urination.
Thirst that is simply unquenchable.
Blurred Vision
Tender Gums
Slow to heal
