Meet a Main Man in Iran's Fight with the U.S. By David Ignatius

Let's try for a moment to put ourselves in the mind of Brigadier General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Revolutionary Guard. For it is the soft-spoken Soleimani, not Iran's bombastic President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who plays a decisive role in his nation's confrontation with the United States.Soleimani represents the sharp point of the Iranian spear. He is responsible for Iran's covert activities in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan and other battlegrounds. He oversees the regime's relations with its militant proxies, Hizbullah and Hamas. His elite, secretive wing of the Revolutionary Guard is identified as a terrorist organization by the Bush administration, but he is also Iran's leading strategist on foreign policy. He reports personally to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and his budget (mostly in cash) comes directly from the supreme leader's office.Soleimani is said to be confident about Iran's rising power in the region, according to an Arab official who met recently with him. He sees an America that is weakened by the war in Iraq but still potent. He has told visitors that United States' and Iran's goals in Iraq are similar, despite the rhetoric of confrontation. But he has expressed no interest in direct, high-level talks. The Quds Force commander prefers to run out the clock on the Bush administration, hoping that the next administration will be more favorable to Iran's interests."The level of confidence of these [Quds Force] guys is that they are it, and everything else is marginal," says the Arab who meets regularly with Soleimani.Soleimani has been adept at turning up the heat in Iraq, then lowering the temperature when it suits Iran's interest. A good example was the Basra campaign in March when Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki attacked the Mehdi Army, the Shiite militia headed by Muqtada al-Sadr. Though the Iranians had been backing Sadr, they made a quick switch to supporting Maliki. It was Soleimani himself who brokered the cease-fire that restored calm in Basra.The simultaneous support for Maliki and Sadr is characteristic of Soleimani, according to people who know him well. Rather than pick a single ally, as Americans tend to do, he will choose at least two. By riding several horses at once, he maximizes Iran's opportunities and reduces its risks.Soleimani's opportunism was evident during the heavy shelling of the Green Zone in March. The Iranians had supplied their Mehdi Army allies in Sadr City with very powerful 240 mm rockets and mortars, and they had bracketed their targets in the Green Zone so precisely that US casualties were rising sharply.After a particularly heavy day of shelling, Genral David Petraeus sent Soleimani a message - "Stop shooting at the Green Zone." The message was conveyed verbally by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. The Quds Force commander didn't react immediately. But the heavy mortar fire on the Green Zone soon tapered off. Iran had flexed its muscles and demonstrated America's vulnerability, and then opted for a tactical retreat.This ebb and flow of Iranian tactics was noted by Ryan Crocker, the US ambassador to Baghdad. He told journalists Thursday that the Iranians have withdrawn Mehdi Army fighters from Basra and Sadr City, but it isn't clear yet whether they have decided that "the militia era is over" in Iraq, or are just making a "tactical pause."The question for Soleimani-watchers is how he will play his hand in the growing confrontation over Iran's nuclear program. The Bush administration seems to have decided on a course of escalating pressure against Tehran during its remaining months in office. The Iranians, while maintaining a tough line on the nuclear issue, as well as in Iraq and Lebanon, appear wary of an all-out confrontation.So imagine that you are Qassem Soleimani, commander of a covert Iranian army deployed across the Middle East: You doubt that the Bush administration would run the risk of a military strike against Iran, but you can't be sure. You think America can't afford to play chicken in an election year, but you can't be certain of that, either. You think Iran is on a roll, but you know how quickly that advantage could be squandered by unwise choices. You know that Arabs, even in Iraq, have become peeved at what they see as meddling and overreaching by Tehran. So you watch and wait. You give ground where necessary, but you prepare to strike back, as devastatingly as possible - and on your own terms, not those of your adversary.

تائید خبر انفجار خط لوله نفت در می داوود

خبرگزاری حکومتی مهر: خط لوله انتقال نفت مارون به اصفهان ساعت 22 و 30 دقیقه روز سه شنبه دچار ترکیدگی شد و طی این حادثه خسارتهایی به ساکنین بخش "می داوود" شهرستان باغملک وارد و موجب کشته‌ شدن چهار نفر و زخمی شدن ‪ ۱۵‬نفر از اهالی منطقه شد. استاندار خوزستان روز گذشته با حضور در محل حادثه انفجار خط لوله نفت با خانوادهای حادثه دیدگان و بازماندگان دیدار و گفتگو کرد. استاندار خوزستان علت این حادثه را پیچیدگی خط لوله نفت عنوان کرد و افزود: این خط لوله 29 سال پیش در این منطقه احداث شده و آن زمان خانه های مسکونی و اراضی کشاورزی با این فاصله کم نسبت به خط لوله واقع نشده بود اما اکنون با افزایش ساخت و ساز، خانه های مسکونی و اراضی کشاورزی به نزدیکی آن رسیده در حالیکه حریم قانونی این خط لوله باید رعایت می شد.
وی تاکید کرد: برای جلوگیری از بروز چنین مشکلی دو راهکار وجود دارد؛ نخست اینکه باید زمین های اطراف توسط وزارت نفت خریداری و حریم قانونی خط لوله رعایت شود و دوم اینکه اگر امکان جابجایی خط لوله وجود دارد، وزارت نفت باید نسبت به تغییر مسیر آن اقدام کند. علت وقوع این حادثه هم اکنون در دست بررسی بیشتر است اما امکان هر گونه اقدام خرابکارانه و امنیتی در آن رد شده است.

درگیری مردم به جان آمده با مزدوران رژیم در زاهدان

به گزارش سایت حکومتی تابناک، در جریان درگیری با ماموران سرکوبگر انتظامی در زاهدان، مردم به جان آمده سه خودروی انتظامی را به آتش كشيده و با سنگ‌ اندازي بسوی ماموران به مقابله با آنان پرداختند. . این سایت حکومتی نوشت به دنبال سنگ‌اندازي به سمت خودروهاي انتظامي و آتش زدن سه خودرو و چند حلقه لاستيك، نيروهاي ضد شورش و انتظامي وارد صحنه شده و با تيراندازي‌هاي هوايي، مردم را متفرق (وحشیانه سرکوب) كردند . براساس این گزارش، نیروهای سرکوبگر رژیم هم اكنون در تمامی خيابان‌ها و كوچه‌هاي منتهي به محل درگيري مستقر شده و یک حکومت نظامی اعلام نشده برقرار کرده اند.

قند در قزوین نایاب شد

ایسنا: روز گذشته مردم قزوين با شايعه افزايش قيمت قند و شکر مواجه شدند که ساعاتي پس از آن، اين کالا در شهر ناياب شد. سن رحيمي رييس اداره تنظيم بازار سازمان بازرگاني استان قزوين گفت: مردم به دليل انتشار اين شايعه اقدام به خريد انبوه و بيش از مصرف قند و شكر کرده‌اند که همين موضوع بازار قند و شکر در قزوين را ملتهب کرده است.

گوشه ای از غارت سرمایه های کشور در رژیم آخوندی

دبیر کمیته تحقیق و تفحص قوه قضائیه روز شنبه 14/2/87 در جمع دانشجویان همدانی دست به افشاگری پشت پرده های مفاسد اقتصادی کشور زد. این افشاگری ها که من از روی متن فیلم سخنرانی او استخراج کرده ام به این شرح است:
١- یکی ازآقایان علما آمد گفت یک پسرمعلول جسمی دارم و می خواهم یک موسسه توانبخشی بسازم که پسرم هم زیر نظر خودم باشد. ما هم موسسه را ثبت کردیم. بعد آمد گفت که اقا من ساپورت مالی می خواهم فلان معدن سنگ دهبید فارس را که بهترین معدن سنگ دنیاست به من بدهید. بعد از چند وقت گفت کم است معدن دیگری در زنجان را هم به من واگذار کنید و تا به حال این آقا چهار معدن را تصاحب کرده به بهانه ساپورت یک موسسه توانبخشی. در این زمان دانشجویان با اصرار خواستند که نام این شخص چیست. پالیزار گفت آیت الله امامی کاشانی (عضو شورای نگهبان و یکی از ٤ امام جمعه موقت اما پای ثابت تهران)
٢- آیت الله… آمدند نزد مقام رهبری گفتند که می خواهیم یک دانشگاه قضایی بسازیم برای خواهران در قم. مجوز داده شد. بلافاصله بعد از مجوز رفتند سراغ ساپورت مالی که بله کارخانه لاستیک دنا را مجوزش را بدهید . اقای نعمت زاده هم گفت کارخانه را در ازای 126 میلیارد به شما واگذار می کنیم. در حالی که قیمت واقعی ان 600 میلیارد بود. بعد این اقایان نامه نوشتند به نعمت زاده که تخفیف منظور فرمایید. بعد از بارها نامه نگاری برای گرفتن تخفیف، قیمت را از 600 میلیارد واقعی به 10 میلیارد رساندند. بازآقایان گفتند که ما پول نداریم. 80 درصدش را به اقساط می پردازیم. نعمت زاده قبول کرد. دوباره گفتند بیست درصد بقیه را هم الان نداریم بعد از فروش مستغلات کارخانه می پردازیم. خوب به همین راحتی اقای ایت الله کارخانه را صاحب شد و بعد از مدتی هم این کارخانه را در بورس فروخت.
(دوباره در پی اصرار دانشجویان که نام این آیت الله را میخواستند پالیزار گفت این شخص آیت الله یزدی رئیس سابق قوه قضاییه و دبیر جدید جامعه روحانیت حوزه علمیه قم است که چاپلوسانه ترین نامه تاریخ جمهوری اسلامی را اخیرا برای رهبر نوشت. او به همراه محمد علی شرعی نماینده مجلس خبرگان استان قم )
3ـ خوب مجددا آقای آیت الله یزدی نامه ای می نویسد برای آقای فروزش وزیر صنایع که پسرم حمید بیکار است. ترتیبی فرمایید از جنگل های شما در جهت صادرات چوب بهرمند شود. جالب است که حمید یزدی دراین زمان در قوه قضاییه مدیر کل بود. یعنی بی کار نبود. و به این صورت جنگل های شمال را به تاراج بردند. بعد رفتند مردم بومی شمال را که حالا شاید به اندازه هیزمشان چوب انبار کرده بودند بازداشت کردند که باعث شلوغی جلوی زندان در شمال شد.
4ـ کارخانه ایران خوردو بدون هیچ ضابطه ای به قضات قوه قضاییه ماشین پرشیا به نصف قیمت داد و بقیه اش را هم به اقساط که خیلی که ماشین به نامشان شد این قسط را هم نپرداختند. اما همین بذل و بخشش باعث شد صدای خیلی ها در بیاید. مثلا یکباره بنیادی به نام بنیاد نهج البلاغه آمد گفت که اقا ما هم 500 تا ماشین با این تسهیلات می خواهیم. حالا فکر می کنید چه کسانی هستند اعضای این بنیاد نهج البلاغه. آقای علی اکبر ناطق نوری. رفیق دوست. عسگر اولادی. حسین دین پرور. معزی
5ـ بعد از این ماجرا باشگاه پرسپولیس به سرپرستی عابدینی و بنیادی به نام همگرایی اندیشه هم صدایشان در آمد که آقا ما هم از این ماشین ها می خواهیم. لازم به گفتن است که بنیاد “همگرایی اندیشه” متعلق به حجت الاسلام( فلاحیان وزیر اسبق اطلاعات و ایت الله علم الهدی امام جمعه حجاب پرور مشهد است).
6ـ دوازده معدن بزرگ در خراسان متعلق به آیت الله واعظ طبسی است و پرونده المکاسب هم که مربوط به آقازاده واعظ طبسی است.
7ـ قاچاقچی بزرگ فرودگاه پیام که هزار و صد پرونده قاچاق کالا دارد اما هنوز موفق به بازداشتش نمی شدیم چرا که تحت الحمایه آقایی ناطق نوری بود.
8ـ در مورد قاچاق سیگار و اینکه اساسا تولید و قاچاق سیگار تولید توتون ایران را فلج کرده و کارگران این کارخانه ها را بیکار.
9ـ موضوع مهم دیگر که او اشاره کرد در مورد سقوط دو هواپیما و دلایلش بود. یکی شهید کاظمی و دیگری شهید دادمان. در مورد دادمان ماجرا عمدی بود. پرونده ای هزار صفحه ای این را می گوید. ( این که چه کسی در این ماجرا دست داشته حرفی نزد) اما در مورد سقوط هواپیمای شهید کاظمی (فرمانده سابق نیروی زمینی سپاه که حدود دو سال پیش هلیکوپترش در غرب ایران سقوط کرد) شهید کاظمی معدن خاک سرخ هرمز را که متعلق به آیت الله خزعلی بود را به علت تخلفات مسدود کرد. بعد از این ماجرا هواپیمایش سقوط کرد. البته صد در صد مشخص نیست که سقوط هواپیما عمدی بوده یا نه!
10ـ در مورد سلطان شکر و مافیای شکر باید بگویم که آنها حاضر بودند 700 میلیارد بدهند که پرونده را از زیر ضرب بیرون ببرند. در مافیای شکر “مدلل” کارگزار و داماد یکی از علمای اعلام(آیت الله مصباح یزدی و یا مکارم شیرازی) است.
11ـ یک سوم جزیره کیش- پارک جنگلی چیتگربه پرونده مفاسد اقتصادی خانواده هاشمی بر می گردد.
در حال حاضر پول هندوانه مصرفی استبل اسب های دختر هاشمی روزی 100 هزار تومان است. شرکت نفتی این خانواده به همراه عمه خانم یعنی خواهر هاشمی در کانادا را هم دیگر که قابل گفتن نیست.
پسر وسطی هاشمی به نام مهدی که در سازمان مدیریت بهینه سوخت مدیریت می کرد با استخدام زیباترین دختران از آنها سوء استفاده هایی می کرد که فیلم آن از اتاق او کشف شد.
