Interest rates for example, regarded as usury and forbidden in Islam became 'bank charges' and how can anyone think below is anything other than legalised prostitution?Edict authorises online short-term marriages - AKII know who?! These marriages are called muta'a marriages; they are primarily for older Iranians whose spouses have passed away. This has nothing to do with prostitution; and if someone is exploiting the law to somehow conduct "legal" prostitution, then they are taking advantage of a law the same way a corporate lawyer might take advantage of a tax loophole in a law. These laws are FAR from a cover up for prostitution - no matter what some bullshit article you found on the shah's son's website says.Muta'a marriages are intended to help downtrodden widows or widowers regain their footing in life (and satisfy their sexual urges) within the confines if Islam. (That way, the Revolutionary Courts can't charge someone for having sex after their spouse has passed away). They actually help people - like my grandpa. Actually sigheh is nothing to do with Islam and is an invention of Shiite clergy only.Of course you are too young to remember and probably havent talked to any Iran-Iraq war veterans to find out how the mullahs like leeches, would turn up outside a martyr's house, and force the martyr's wife into temporary marriage.
