2 Chinese citizens arrested in Iran on suspicion of espionage

Two Chinese citizens were arrested in Iran Wednesday, on suspicion of photographing military installations. Iranian authorities did not reveal which installations were photographed.

Iran Denies Freedom Of Association
Iranian police arrested twenty young people at a private party in Karaj, near Tehran. The arrests came just a week after police in Karaj raided a rock concert and detained over two-hundred young Iranians. Boys and girls reportedly mingled and danced together, activities forbidden in Iran. Some of the girls, it was said, were not wearing the headscarves and attire required by the Iranian regime. سایت نوروز:«محمد هاشمی» دبیرکل سازمان معلمان ایران از سوی شعبه 28 دادگاه انقلاب به سه سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.اتهام هاشمی اقدام علیه امنیت ملی، اخلال در نظم عمومی و تمرد از دستور پلیس عنوان شده است. «محمد داوری» سخنگوی سازمان معلمان ایران با اعلام این خبر گفت: هاشمی به دلیل تجمع معلمان مقابل مجلس 23 اسفند سال 85 دستگیر شد و از آن زمان تا 11 فروردین درسلول انفرادی در زندان اوین نگهداری شد.
به گفته وی هاشمی پرونده دیگری هم به دلیل اعتراض به سوالات موهن ضمن خدمت معلمان که در آن به پیامبر اسلام توهین شده بود، دارد. این پرونده به دلیل بیانیه سازمان معلمان که در آن این سؤالات محکوم شده بود، تشکیل شده است. گفتنی است به دنبال تجمعات بهمن و اسفند سال 85 معلمان درمقابل مجلس، سه نفر از اعضای سازمان معلمان ایران (محمد داوری،علی پورسلمان و محمد هاشمی) دستگیر شدند و تاکنون تنها دادگاه هاشمی برگزار شده است.به دنبال این تجمعات تاکنون برای 40 نفر از فرهنگیان پرونده قضایی تشکیل شده و 270 معلم هم با پرونده تخلفات اداری مواجه شده‌اند که برای بسیاری از آنها حکم انفصال از خدمت صادر شده است.

روزنامه کيهان نوشته هاشمي کاره يي نيست. اين روزنامه در شماره روز گذشته خود با اشاره به گفته هاي هاشمي رفسنجاني در خطبه هاي نماز جمعه و آمادگي ايران براي مذاکرات همه جانبه با امريکا نوشت؛ بسياري از محافل خارجي مخصوصاً غربي ها اظهارات هاشمي را کم اهميت دانسته و با استناد به اينکه تصميم گيري درباره مذاکره با امريکا بر عهده ايشان نيست، سخنان هاشمي را در خطبه هاي نماز جمعه تهران نشانه تغيير موضع جمهوري اسلامي ايران تلقي نکردند.

Replaced Iran minister lambasts Ahmadinejad(AFP)15 August 2007

TEHERAN - Iran’s former industry minister, replaced in a government reshuffle this week, has launched a stinging attack on the economic policies of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Fars news agency reported on Wednesday. Ali Reza Tahmasebi complained in his resignation letter that prices had been frozen artificially, industrial plants suffered from under-investment and the ministry was enduring damaging personnel changes.
