Side B unites two figures who have been in the frontline of Buzzin' Fly's advance in recent months - Justin Martin, currently artist-du-jour for his role in the new-sound-of-San-Francisco alongside Claude VonStroke, but notably a Buzzin' Fly artist since 2003; and Jimpster, Freerange Records don, who moonlighted for Buzzin' Fly last autumn with the stunning 'Square Up' single. It is Justin's pivotal 2003 debut cut for the label, 'The Sad Piano' that gets the Jimpster modern remix treatment here. If the original was melancholy jackin' funk, and Charles Webster's memorable 2004 remix trawled serene Berliner depths, then this new version is dense, driving, emotional tech-house with the thrusting pulsing b-line coming on like M.A.N.D.Y. versus New Order's Peter Hook. The artwork will feature a special limited edition foil-blocked design by iwantdesign. Happy Silver Anniversary. Buzzzzzzz.
